Eco Systems

Table Mountain is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Public restrooms utilize self-contained waste management systems to prevent groundwater contamination. We provide several water-filling stations to discourage plastic use.

The Red Postbox

A fully functional, traditional postbox is located at the summit. Mail posted here receives a unique Table Mountain postmark, confirming its dispatch from the peak before being transported down via cable car.

Dining at Table Mountain Café

Ten 67 Eatery

Named after the mountain's height, this cafeteria-style venue offers self-service meals including local specialties like venison and Cape Malay curries.

Open: 08:30 Close: Seasonal

Shop at the Top

The souvenir shop specializes in items that represent the Cape Floral Kingdom. Look for fynbos-infused spirits, hand-crafted beadwork from local artisans, and high-performance outdoor gear suited for mountain weather. Uniquely, the retail space is also a viewing platform, offering vistas toward the 12 Apostles.

Viewing Terraces

Extending from the cafe is the open-air terrace. With ample seating and protection from the prevailing South-Easter wind, it serves as an acclimation point before you venture onto the secondary trails like the Dassie or Klipspringer loops.

Accessibility
Without Compromise

A table mountain visit is designed to be inclusive. We have invested in kilometers of level, paved pathways that begin directly at the Upper Cable Station exit.

  • Wheelchair-accessible binoculars and telescope stations.
  • Elevator access between the cable car levels and the cafe floors.
  • Clear interpretive signage with high-contrast text and tactile elements.
